You need to ask the guys at the gun shop for special order.
They have lots of good stuff that they do not normally stock, including the TRG42, all the accessories for TRG22/ 42, Burris XTR scopes etc...

At $2600 hardly find any .308 to beat it. (That's the price not including muzzle brake, scope mount, bipod...)

$2600 will get you an outstanding custom rifle that will definitely beat it.

I want to do "custom" but I think it would cost me more into the $4500 to $5,000 range.

Remington XR-100 = $1000
Kreiger SS match barrel = $440
Jewell Trigger = $225
Bedding, Accurizing, mounting, chambering, crowning = $650
Ken Farrell Scope Rail = $125
Harris Bipod = $125

Instead of an XR-100, substitute an SPS action and a Robertson stock, or a Savage F/TR with a match barrel and take away the Jewell trigger.

The Sako's are really nice guns, but they are still just a factory gun.

Nice or more like awesome rifle. I was looking at the 700P in 308 with an AI stock, Harris bipod and a good scope for now with my shooting ability. Once I shoot better then I'll get the jeweled trigger and a new 1X10 in 300WM 28"HB.

Actually I think I am comparing apples to oranges.

I would be looking at a 338 kind of thing. But to build something like Obtunded's.....................

Well, $2600 I am talking about factory rifle.
Custom rifle wise you need a reputable gunsmith and know what componets to put together.
