The way I see it, you three choices:
1) Have a brake put on it, or have the barrel ported. Also, an aftermarket set of grips might help
2) Hand load for it real light with light bullets
3) Harden the f#$k up or sell it and buy a .22:)

Sorry about #3, but I couldn't resist. :pHard kicking large calibre hand guns are not for everyone.....

Start with 45 Colt Cowboy Action loads. When you can accurately shoot them, move up the recoil ladder to stout (Contender and Ruger only) 45 Colt loads. When you can accurately shoot those, move up to mild 454 loads, etc, etc, etc. Put a rubber grip on it. If after all that, you still can't handle the recoil, items 1 and 3 in the previous post are your options. - dan

"...to get some accuracy..." You reloading? Work up a .45 Colt 'cowboy action' load in your .454 cases. Or just shoot .45 Colt ammo out of it.
A change of grips wouldn't hurt either.
Factory ammo, in any large calibre, tends to be hot. A lighter load will let you learn how to shoot your revolver, then, if you want, move up to .454 loads.
