I am looking to get some advice on purchasing a new rifle stock for my Remington 700 BDL LA. I am looking at upgrading my current rifle stock to a bell and carlson with a full aluminum bedding block, but after doing some research I've found that there are different styles for barrel fitment. I am torn between getting a stock that has the barrel either free floating or pressure point. I am leaning towards the free floating as I believe it will aid in improved accuracy, but I have read online that free floating a barrel doesn't always lead to better accuracy. Does anyone know the advantages/disadvantages of two types of stocks?
Any input will be appreciated thanks!!
