help me choose / build a 10mm 1911

The best 10mm in the market, if you have to own one, is Glock's model 20. Not a fan of all the other steel on steel designs.

Some of the steel on steel 10mm makers might offer a longslide version; Glock makes the G40 with a 6" barrel and MOS version. Want a compact? Who makes a factory production steel on steel frame 10mm?
Glock makes the Model 29. Buy a 106mm barrel and your good.

I kinda have to agree, yes beautiful 10's out there but not cheap, Ellwoods has glock 20's for $776 and at least you won't lose your shirt if you want to sell it down the road.

i picked up a Glock 40 beginning of last year as my entry into the 10mm world.
really like the round.
satisfying to shoot.

i have been wanting to get a 1911 in 10mm to go along with it.
have been leaning towards the Ruger because i already have the SR1911 in 45 and the CMD so it would make a nice set.
but the Remmy E1 in 10mm is super nice.
the RIA is also easy on the wallet but hard to find.
granted the Ruger is hard to find as well.

im gonna watch which way you go and look for updates, might help me decide with way to go with my future purchase!
