I tried both at my local store, liked the feel of the Weatherby better (felt solid, like it was made right). That being said, it was a decisiosn of what they both had on hand at the time; you might go in and like the way that certain Savage handles. What I'm saying is keep an open mind, try a few of each and base your decision on which one you like better. All of our opinions are for what we like. Both guns seem to be pretty close in accuracy and reliability.
