Help Me Find the Perfect General Purpose 308 for Me

I am biased because I just built my do all 308 off a model seven action. I think a model seven with a lower powered scope would serve you well, my personal favorite is the VX3 2.5-8x36.

Just quoting this, because geologist nailed down optics pretty well to the point, so it’s worth repeating. Low, quick detach rings win the day with scout rifles. Hilux makes a pretty clean 2-7 power 308 bdc reticle scout scope, Wolverine supplies is a dealer iirc.
