Think am ready for a .45 Auto. I don't want any more plastic strike fires so am thinking 1911 Pistols am going to check out are: This will be my first .45 and I might do a little IPSC shooting on a low scale. Not interested in China Pistols.
Kimber 1911 II
Para Ordance G1 Expert Black OPS 10:45
Remington 1911 R1 Enhanced.
Sig Sauer 1911 STX
Your input is appreciated. Thanks!
STI Trojan if your budget is in the low/mid teens.
Where are you located in NB? You could try mine if you're in the SJ area.
I have a Metro Arms 1911 Bullseye in 6'' and its pretty sweet and works great. https://macpistols.eagleimportsinc.com/macpistols/mac-bullseye-45acp-954
It has a checkerd front and back strap and a funnel mag well, adjustable sites and a heavy bull barrel.
Id love to buy a 10mm Dan Wesson but my budget isn't that high. http://cz-usa.com/product-category/danwesson/l
I own a Remington R1 Enhanced and would buy another without question. The STI Trojans are very nice as well, but the prices went up by $300 when I was looking to buy.
LOTS! of good information here, thanks to all that replied. Am hearing the late made Colts just don't stack up to the older guns.
