Help me pick a 1911 .45 Auto.

Think am ready for a .45 Auto. I don't want any more plastic strike fires so am thinking 1911 Pistols am going to check out are: This will be my first .45 and I might do a little IPSC shooting on a low scale. Not interested in China Pistols.

It's all depend on your budget, 1000, 1500, 2000+ ?

from your choices i would consider a sig, second choice would be Colt Competition in 45acp

Sig also makes 1911s with a traditionally shaped slide ,that should make buying a holster easier.

Don't overlook the Colt's
My 70 series Wiley Clapp is very well built and accurate. The Gold Cups are great too. There is something about a 1911 in .45acp with the name Colt on it that turns me on.

Mine came with STI 8 round mags. I also have some 10 round Chip McCormick's I got from Brownells
