I was offered a Glock 22 gen 2 for $400 today. Good deal?
I know it's a .40, but I can live with that.
It isn't a bad deal. About what it's worth.
I think lots of guys are dumping .40 due to current fashion and cost of ammo compared to 9mm.
If you handload pistol ammo (which you probably should) the added cost is minimal.
If you don't handload pistol ammo, and have zero intention to, stick with 9mm - imho.
I've owned and used most strikers out there and am a lefty as well. Glocks of all calibers still reside in my safe, as do a few H&Ks.
The M&P is a decent pistol as is the Springer XD - they just got squeezed out as I prefer the Glocks.
Haven't tried the Walther, but I'm not in a rush to either. It may offer a better trigger out of the box, but you can always upgrade a Glock as part of the beauty to them, in addition to their simplicity and dependability, is the size and variety of the aftermarket that supports them.
