Help me with value of 1946 Model 94 flatband

$500 to 600 is a fair/good buck for it. - Doesn't appear abused - Swivel stud in the stock is a negative - Blue-ing loss seems even and in the right places.

A lesson to be learned by all is NEVER install those stupid swivel kits......

Aside from that it's a nice postwar gun - if they don't like it they can pay north of $1000- for a Miroku.

D.

P.S. Anyone who doesn't like it can take out the stud and plug the hole or put a front swivel back on and leave it as is,

Also, at any Ontario Gun Show you would be hard pressed to find it on the table with less than a $650 asking price...

Realistically speaking, it is as above mentioned, about a $500 shooter.

I mean it is one of about 7,000,000 rifles just like it without any special features to make it a collector piece.

Yep. $1660.00 + tx at Cabellas :onCrack:

Thanks to all those who contributed useful input! I like the rifle because I can tell that the wear is from carrying it with one hand, and that the receiver has never been touched with a screwdriver.

This is a flatband, made not even three years during pre-64 production. One could say that it is a special feature, maybe even a collector piece.
So... if you know what it is and how rare you think it is... why ask?

Anything under the $500, it would be gone in minutes.
How much more than $600, don't know.
Even at six brown ones, I think on a good given Friday/Saturday night it should
have a decent chance at selling.
Tuff to find something like this at a gun show priced at the smaller amounts listed.

Flatbands are neat.
Too bad it wasn't stamped PCMR.

I have owned three flat band Winchester 94’s, still have one. All were bought here and I never paid over $500. Don’t think the two I sold went for over $500 either. If they did it certainly wasn’t much more...

Nice old rifle. A little pre advertising doesn't hurt the selling price either. :p

I watch Winchesters at Prairie gun shows. Ones like yours don't last very long at $500. Doesn't seem to matter that millions were made, does it. A nice old 94 will almost always bring a good price. I paid $550 del'd for a nice mid 50's just recently. :)
