Hi all,
I purchased a Ruger 10/22 in the summer of this year, and for Christmas I was given a scope for it.
After removing the filler screws from the receiver, I attempted to align the screw holes in the Ruger supplied scope base with those in the receiver.
There are four holes, and I cannot align any of them. The hole patterning in the base is different than that of the receiver, and it seams that the base is shorter than it should be.
I have emailed Ruger regarding the problem, and await their reply, but I do not know how far I will get with them. Any and all advice is appreciated.
I am really worried about this, as I do not think that I can get the filler screws back in without stripping them (if the mount is not too blame) and do not want to scrap the rifle, as I have not even had an opportunity to fire it yet.
Here are some pictures of my problem, once again any help or advice is welcome and appreciated.
