My son is in the midst of saving a Lee Enfield that Bubba got his hands on. His aim is to create an Enfield Enforcer-like gun of it.
After cleaning out all the creatures that were living in it, the barrel looked good so we decided to put a scope on it and see how it shoots. The B Square mount went on easily and it includes rings as well. He bought a modest Tasco 9-24X40 scope (pretty good value for the price) and tightened and put blue Locktite on the all mount and scope screws. I took the gun to the range and got it shooting 2 inch groups half the time. I suspect that is as good as we can expect from an $85.00 rifle that is over 60 years old.
The problem is that the scope moved forward after 45 shots. The focus ring is jammed against the end of the receiver.
What can he do to keep this from happening?
Thanks all.
