So I'm sitting on a few dollars that are burning a hole in my pocket demanding to be spent. I've narrowed it down to 4 options, for the time being, but could really do with a push in the best direction.

Currently I have an AR15 with a 14.5" barrel. Purchase options are

1. 10.5" 'CBQ' upper receiver chambered in 5.56
2. 14.5" 7.62x39mm upper
3. Accessories for AR15 & Remington 700 rifles (charging handle, muzzle break, bipod)
3. Bulk 5.56mm ammo, Bulk .22 ammo and Match .308 ammo.

Biggest cons I can see so far for the first two options are
1. Already have one 5.56 and a 10.5" isn't that much shorter, probably don't shoot enough CQB style shoots to make it worth while.
2. Never really wanted an AR15 but made an impulse buy. It's hard to justify a 7.62x39 if I need to buy more mags and they're pinned at 5. Ammo is cheaper though.
3. Stuck using a CFO approved range.

It's hard to justify a 7.62x39 if I need to buy more mags and they're pinned at 5.

XCR pistol mags get you 10 rounds.
There's an NEA upper on the EE right now, I'd jump on it - great price.
1300 rnds of Romanian is $220 with free shipping. No brainer.

if you have a 14.5 don't get a 10.5 unless you want to sell off your 14.5. just keep one. same if you go for a 7.62. you will find you will ether like it or the .233 and never use the other.

I would put my money into upgrading. get lots of good high end parts and a good scope and lots of ammo so you can get allot of trigger time in.

Well, it's fun to buy parts etc, but have you thought about buying a reloading kit? You didn't mention reloading so I assume you don't already. It's new, fun and interesting plus you can be as serious or as casual as you like (not with safety, just time devoted to it). Plinking ammo for your ar and target ammo for your 700. Just a thought
