So I'm sitting on a few dollars that are burning a hole in my pocket demanding to be spent. I've narrowed it down to 4 options, for the time being, but could really do with a push in the best direction.
Currently I have an AR15 with a 14.5" barrel. Purchase options are
1. 10.5" 'CBQ' upper receiver chambered in 5.56
2. 14.5" 7.62x39mm upper
3. Accessories for AR15 & Remington 700 rifles (charging handle, muzzle break, bipod)
3. Bulk 5.56mm ammo, Bulk .22 ammo and Match .308 ammo.
Biggest cons I can see so far for the first two options are
1. Already have one 5.56 and a 10.5" isn't that much shorter, probably don't shoot enough CQB style shoots to make it worth while.
2. Never really wanted an AR15 but made an impulse buy. It's hard to justify a 7.62x39 if I need to buy more mags and they're pinned at 5. Ammo is cheaper though.
3. Stuck using a CFO approved range.
