Henry Homesteader

Pretty good iron sights useable with my scope removed Weaver rings are QD. 1.27mm hex key fits my lock & adj. screws.
Is it normal for this peep/leaf sight to wiggle a bit as it is elevation-adjustable. Or adjustment screw could have been loose?

You should be able to make it tight with the adjustment screws. Mine got loose before I realized it, and I lost a small screw while shooting. Warranty service sent me a new rear sight assembly within about 6 weeks.

Also the handguard is loose. Will tighten the rear sight screws and I hope this handguard screw is just loose.
How's Henry when dealing with their customer service / warranty?

I had no problems with them. They use a Canadian dealer for service and they are respond quickly.
They use Grech outdoors for warranty work in Canada. I would not send Grech a $100 pellet gun. Guy is an absolute train wreck hack. My Henry model x had the holes in the receiver drilled and tapped on an angle. When I found out it was Grech I paid out of pocket to have the receiver welded up, retaped and refinished. I love my ever growing collection of Henry rifles however, if it needs to go in for repair, I will pay for the repairs myself to avoid dealing with Grech. I have been very vocal with Henry about this and others should be too.

I love my homesteader. I never had any problems with it, even when it was brand new and not "broken in". Accuracy wise, with a x1 prism scope I can consistently hit the gong at 100m from the standing position. Would recommend.

If the Henry Homesteader goes on sale is it worth the purchase. Ive been looking at that or a Howa 1500 .223 and kinda torn which one to get. Mostly 50-100m but just want something else to have fun with

Picked one up last week, put the Glock mag adapter on it along with a red dot scope and fired about 300 rounds. With one of the Glock mags it continuously locked back with one round left in the mag, so mag issue not gun issue. Fed and functioned perfectly with a variety of ammo from 115 to 147 grains. Accuracy very good. The takedown for cleaning is a bit of a pain…difficult to get the action bars off the bolt but this should remedy with time and practice. Overall very pleased with it.

I'm curious, what is the make of the rail/forend attachment you have? I don't think I've seen those.

I'm using a Ranger Point Precision rail on mine.

I was thinking of picking one up now that we have a non-restricted option here. I read the reviews of the shorter barrel US version and they aren't flattering. I hate guns that jam more than anything. Anyone get one here and throw some rounds through it? How does it work if so?
I just got one a few weeks ago, So far seems great. Put a few rounds through it no problems.
