It took me over 4 hrs, but I completed my conversion last night.:p
I thought, I would share my experiences here.

The fit and quality of the HERA was good, but not perfect.
- The cut in the Magpul to accommodate the catch piece was done, but I had to do more filing before it fitted. (30 min wasted):owned:
- Remember to cut the spring down 8mm.
- The hole for the pin above the trigger was a little too big, the pin would fall thru. (Thanks DoHHunter, you are right, once it is assembled, it does not matter) But, I would be more comfortable, if it fitted like the OEM.
Other than that, everything else fitted together nicely.

The elbow spring was a #####, I used a string to load the spring, then put in the locking lever.

The instruction had two elbow springs, one on each side, but my SL8-4 only had the left one, which matched the SL8 parts diagram. Does the G36 have two elbow springs?

I could not remove the pin that holds the backplate in place, so I had to hack the pin and fabricate a new pin. (1 hr lost) :(

Now, the ACR folding stock also need filing before the hole aligned properly (another hour lost)

If I had to do it again, I think I can do it in an hour.

Now, my SL8 is looking sweet. Time and money well spent, now all I need is a trip to the range.

Thanks to Wolverines for the parts.

hope this helps

I had to use glue, not sure how well it will hold, but better than having it fall out every time I tilt the rifle. No need to do this, just don't tilt the lower until you have the gun assembled, then its contained. This happened on the HERA Gen 1 too.

Now, the ACR folding stock also need filing before the hole aligned properly (another hour lost). The only small part I had to file slightly was the very top that looked like /-\. No issue with hole alignment

If I had to do it again, I think I can do it in an hour. Much easier the second time :D

Thanks to Wolverines for the parts. Wolverine rocks.

My comments in bold above.

Enjoy! It's an awesome setup.

Does your AR15 stock adapter block fit perfectly into your lower? Mine won't fit at the top, /-\ area. When I get home from vacation I'll start to tinker with it.

Also, Hera should provide the spring that needs to be cut, it won't work in your original SL8 stock again.

my sl8-5 only had the one elbow spring as well. Definitely post some pics, i'd like to see an sl8 with the acr stock.

Polskadude, my ACR stock fits right out of the box, but it had this rubbery bushing in the middle, that prevented the proper alignment of the bolts, so I had to cut a knife to trim. Too bad about the spring, I put in an order for one with wolverine, still back ordered.

Blaxsun, I like the new look much better and overall shorten the gun by about 1 inch.

Took it to the range this morning and my trigger conversion worked fine. I will post a picture when I get a chance. Lazy.

I had to trip the top very slightly, no big deal.

Also, as the OP stated, I had to remove the rubber bushing with a pair of pliers (it will pop out).
