Hey Marlin Lovers

i fondeled a fair number of the Marlin's yesterday, but no 45Colts.
There are even some 1950 vintage 336's with only the screw holes for peep sights, no scope mount tappings, real keepers gang, get em while you can.
That matched set 30/30 and 22 are awesome but at $1400.00 a bit rich for my blood.

You saying there are no Marlin lever .45-70's that are in stainless? :bsFlag:

These are all older rifles that have been in storage at the Marlin factory for years. The one I got in 219 Zipper is probably late fifties mfg...NIB. I'll check the serial number and date it when I pick it up next week. The 45-70 I bought is 1979 mfg...again NIB. There are many 30-30's and a few 32 Specials in various configurations that date to the 60's-70's and more that are not even drilled and tapped for scope mounts..these have to be early 50's mfg. at the latest. They are worth a look to anyone in the Edmonton area.,,but...no stainless rifles.

Sorry... didn't realize until it was pointed out to me that this thread was P&D specific... I've edited my post above... apologies to anyone who was offended...

They're going fast!

fassteel,

Thank you so very much for posting about this Marlin lovers EXTRAVAGANZA...otherwise I may have missed out on it.

But I didn't...:D I went by this morning and bought a beautiful 1895 in .45-70...this rifle is gorgeous! I just missed another .45-70 with the most beautiful wood I've ever seen on a Marlin... it had just sold to a collector type who was in the process of buying seven or eight of these rifles at once.

I'll post pics of my beauty as soon as I can. ;)

Grinning ear-to-ear...Jeff/1911.

Yep Thanx Fassteel I found your post on Albertaoutdoorsmen before here so good coverage. Ordered mine in .357 today and Dianne said it could be at my door tomorrow, feeling like a kid at Xmas eve, hope it's as nice as rumored.

marlins galore

looks like they just updated the website this morning and I am seriously thinking about yet another 35 rem as it seems they got five or six in this shipment:D :D

I wonder if that's all they have left...

Holy Smokes...maybe that's all that is left out of 145 rifles!!! If so, have they EVER done some business in the last coupla' days.

Yep them marlins are attracting a real crowd, there are a pile of 30-30's left as well many in the Glenfield line that are going for around $395.00. FS

The list of available Marlins is now on our web site. There are several of some models and calibers (only one listed per model and cal.on web to conserve space) so if the stock number you called about is sold we may have more. Some models and calibers have sold out as we only received one or two. A few guns had chipped stocks and required repairs but we will identify these when you call. Thanx to everbody who bought some (as of this post we have sold about 40 guns and have about 100 left). If you are in the Edmonton area you should really drop in and see what we have as we have all the variants and calibers on display. Phil.

Just recieved mine today within 24 hrs. of placing my order with Dianne, awesome! It appears to be brand new right down to the Factory test firing sticker. Thanx P&D, will do business again and hats off to Canada post. Now all I need is a little free time.

had mine picked up by a friend today...two 45-70's with straight grips...both are '79 vintage and a the infamous 219 Zipper... may have to go back for more....I hear they have a couple nice 35's.....and a 44 with really nice wood...does it ever end...?
Thanks P&D and especially Diane for digging out the first 45-70 as I was paying for the Zipper...you hooked me,...I had to have another one...

ahhh....the lover of semi-rare and somewhat desirable Marlins from the west coast weighs in....how's the 375 and the 44 Sporter treating you?....I shoulda kept that 44...haven't seen another before or since...P&D actually had a Marlin 375 and I passed on it Sat morning...I figured that owning three of them in three years would have made me somewhat of a Marlin hog....
