Hey Marlin Lovers

He he he eh. Yes I still have the well used but not abused 375 Winchester buddy and that freaky cool minty odd ball 21" and change barreled 44  . They's treating me just fine.

What do your 45-70s above have for a recoil pad? Mine has what looks to be a thin piece of some old cowboy's leather belt. And she boots back accordingly. :D

which one did you get Jeff?

Rick,

I bought one of the curved grip .45-70's with quite nice wood...just missed a jaw dropper the same with an unbelievably figured buttstock. Another fellow was there and had just picked out seven or eight different rifles to buy and got that one...

So I got the "runner up" and I'm still delighted. I'll post a picture a little later today.

Jeff.

Ordered mine by phone on Saturday. Been sitting by the door, finger tapping on table with impatience, anxiously waiting to see my "new" 1894 in .357! Also eager to see in what condition Canada Post delivers it. Can't wait to get out to the "range" <gravel pit> and try it out!!!:dancingbanana:

csmith,

I was (still am) soooooo tempted to buy one in .357 for a pure fun gun!!! Hmmmmm....maybe I'd better go back today.

<sarcasm on> So GO! What's holding you back? Fear :p <sarcasm off>

I thought I saw one left on the web page yesterday. If you hurry, it may still be there. If you dont' get it, I'll send you a pic of mine:) (and I'm still tapping that finger waiting for Mr. Postman, Geez, they're slow!!!)

Once it gets here, I'm gonna spend a day cleaning and polishing her and getting to know her. I bought her to use in Cowboy shooting (new sport to me) and want to ensure that all the little parts are in good working order. Then it's out to have FUN!!! :D

I just purchased a 336 T in .35 Remington. Made in 1989 with straight grip and 20" barrel. It will be my go to pucker brush gun here in N.W Ontario for bears, bucks and bulls. Can't wait to get it. Dianne is the best to deal with.

cheers Darryl

Well I guess I just lost all control for about 1/2 an hour this afternoon. Next thing I new I was the proud new owner of 4 Marlins. I ended up with a Rem 35 in a 336 A circa 1952, a 336 A in a 32 Win Special with a Monte carlo stock which is fairly rare vintage 1959, a very nicely stocked 30-30 and the last of the 45/70's that were available. Should make for a busy summer getting them all to shoot, can't wait.
We should start a new Lever gun shooting league at Genesse with all the boys and girls that have bought these great new rifles from P&D, cheers FS

Levers rock. Had a pile of fun this morning with a newly aquired .444 Marlin from the board here. Because of that purchase, i just coudn't swing the 336T in .35rem that Dianne handed me over the counter yesterday. Oh well the kid needed a trampoline.
