Hi I am thinking about starting a Tabuk Sniper Rifle.

Interested to see what credible LMG accuracy reports come out of this... my experience with the rifles is that different ammo didnt really yield noticeable accuracy deviations. Fed it $0.20 corrosive = 5 moa ... fed it $0.75 Hornady SST = still 5 moa haha

Be sure to get a SVD mount compatible side rail if you get a SVD PSO-1. A SVD PSO-1 will not fit on a conventional AK side rail. Im currently editing a "Russian side mount optics for beginners" video that will explain this better. Hopefully it will be out within the week.

Good luck with ur project. It should be very easy to pull off with good cosmetic results!

5moa is with the rifle. I dont own a LMG model. Id like to hope the LMG is more accurate, but have yet to hear any reports or see pics.

If the PSO-1 is hard to find or beyond your budget. NPZ (which is the same Russian company that produces the PSO) does make a nice PO 4x24mm with the 1.5m rangefinding SVD reticle and base. Even takes AAs. These can be found on Amazon, Ebay or Westrifle sometimes carrys them. POSP models are another cheaper alternative that is still great quality. They just might not fit the look as good.

I shot with the bipod on. It is rather long to accommodate long magazines. I have also painted my front sight post yellow. Not sure if this will help or not until I shoot it again.

I wouldn't expect better accuracy out of the LMG model, its basically the same gun with different looks. Anyone know if the carry handle locks in the down position or anything? If its free to bounce around, thats not going to help with accuracy either, and that bipod mounted to the barrel will likely shift POI when you're using it vs not...?

If i had a LMG model, id take the bipod off right away exactly for that reason. I figure once it was stripped clean, the added rigidity of the heavier LMG barrel could yield better accuracy.

The carry handle locks in 3 positions and it is build alot heavier than the rifle version some parts are also built different I'd assume to handle sustained full auto fire

The thought of trying to turn a LMG (Especially one based off the T81, of all guns) into a sniper rifle makes me laugh and shake my head a lil bit, not gonna lie.

Well , I took it out for a rip today. 3 MOA at 50 years . I am keeping it as LMG . it’s nicer than AK 47 but not much better. Very happy about a last round hold Device and safety location. Not over-gas for sure . Felt of recoil is nicer too.

fit And finished are 10 times better than type 81 folder. Good QC but rear sight is worst than AK. I don’t understand what’s going on there. Feels a lot lighter than AK too and skinner .
