But hey, who am I speak my opinion, I must be one of the gun snobs here that knows nothing.
You sound a little bitter. Did someone hurt your feelings? At what point did anyone say that gun snobs know nothing? Where'd that come from?
I take it from your rather long-winded post that you consider yourself a gun snob. Define gun snob? Gun snobs treat others with
lower priced or
lower quality equipment than their own as inferior human beings who should be sneered at and ridiculed for their stupidity. That bugs me, and I'm not alone in feeling that way. Keep in mind that this statement stems from my own personal experience, I realize it's a very general statement.
Do you treat people that way? Do you walk up and tell the 19 year old kid at the range that his SKS is a piece of garbage and he should have "saved up" and bought something more expensive? Do you tell the guy who brings his Norinco 1911 clone to the range to put it away, and that crap like that shouldn't be allowed on the range?
If not, then you're obviously not a gun snob, and shouldn't be offended when someone bashes gun snobs.
P.S. Oh and by the way poweredbybeer, the term you're looking for is a NON RESTRICTED or UN RESTRICTED not a de-restricted.
Thanx, 'preciate it. I coulda sworn that de-restricted meant the same thing as non-restricted and un-restricted, but I guess I was wrong.
Actually, here we go;
TheFreeDictionary definition of "derestricted"
TheFreeDictionary definition of "unrestricted"
Non-restricted is actually two words, so I couldn't find a single definition online, but it basically means the opposite of restricted, as I'm sure everyone is well aware. So yeah, thanx for straightening that out for me.
