Any hi-tell masters here? I’m trying it out over my regular powder coating, just because I can’t leave well enough alone!
The issue I’m having is after the first, second, third even fourth coat I tried. It scrapes off with my finger nail fairly easily! The bullets have a large lube groove, and isn't always fully coated.
I’m Baking for 10min in a 400 oven, checked with thermometer, cooling and drying each coat before baking. They all pass the acetone and smash test. I’m mixing the powder and acetone as per the instructions from hi tek. 309 gr powder to 100ml acetone. Drying for a hour in between coats, and letting each tray cool to room temp before coating!
I’m getting minor leading in my barrel,9mm, After 100 rounds.
Any tricks that might help?
