Hickok45 on the VZ 58

In-correct.
It would still fire.
Although it would never be able to fire full auto. It would be semi-auto only.

fa setting acts as safety unless the safety pin is notched out, then it'll function in sa mode.

never heard of any being double notched for this. can't be mil-spec.

heres my hacked together barreled receiver + parts kit

In the picture you have the auto sear installed but the trigger only has 1 bar. So no it won't work. So if you had this trigger yes it would.

Buy the way this is what a full auto assualt rifle called the VZ 58 looks internaly.

i had to grind that part of the trigger off, to fit beside that giant block.
correct me if i'm wrong, but i thought the fa sear isn't in the parts kit.

i love how simple the internals are.

no the fa sear is not in a canadian parts kit but the safety is the same.... just the lack of the other parts that makes no difference if the safety is still designed for fa.

you built this yourself? very cool is it legal? how do you get the barreled reciever?

nope, just threw parts kit into a barreled receiver from marstar.(they have no more)
required some grinding(on parts - not receiver) & that coil spring to keep sear in place. easy to do. cheap too, like $300 into it.

headspace issues though!, hoped to be resolved this year.

and of course it's legal.

yes i agree it is very easy rifle to understand the mechanics and very easy to work on strip rebuild. that block is strange looking the block in my cz 858 looks alot different it is back by the saftey and clear of the trigger area but prevents the double arm trigger from being installed as well.I am interested to know about your build.

ok well 300 is a good deal on a vz 58 for sure. too bad there are no more barreled recievers. that would be a fun project. so the head space issues from too much slop between the breach lock and the bolt? i think i heard of this before good luck hope you are able to go shot that dang thing :p

one of the earlier czh2003s with non-res chromed line barrel.
iirc a little of the bolt carrier needed to be grinded. & the trigger as mentioned.
learned what needed to be done on cgn.
