High asking price of used scopes

True-but well priced stuff sells quickly-and bargains are gone immediately.I don't barter-if I'm interested,I tell the seller I don't barter-but will ask his bottom dollar and tell him I'll either take it or leave it. If they really want to sell, they sometimes come back with a lower offer to me and if thats acceptable,we do business. But anytime you are in the market for any item, here or anywhere else-its always a good idea to do some comparison checking-the caveat is always''know your prices''

It so true, and even though alot of people think they got "X" model for a good price, doesn't mean it's a great price. I personally figure most on here are the average joe and I try to give a good deal as I enjoy getting a good deal. Otherwise I would stick strictly to retailers. The other thing is people take it so personally when you offer what you think is fair and they come back with "I paid more than that for it" and I'm thinking - well just because you didn't shop around I'm supposed to cover your bad purchase?

I get a kick out of the "offended" types. Most people are good to deal with, and then the odd one acts like you called his wife ugly. if you don't like an offer counter it. If you don't want offers, put FIRM in your ad... so simple

And there you have it.......

You would think that some guys that keep bumping it and not changing there price would figure it out that maybe they were asking a bit to much huh?

Been looking for a certain scope on here for 3 months now and theres one even on here. Only one problem, they're asking way to much. It looks to me like they looked on Ebay at the same scope and saw all of the "buy it now" scopes priced at double what they're worth and figured theres is the same. Meanwhile the idiot on Ebay has had the scope up there for the last 5 months cause he's a moron and figures he'll take someone for their hard earned cash sooner or later.

So it would seem it's a fairly rare/uncommon scope. Perhaps the reason for the higher price? ;)

I don't understand why some get upset when people ask too much, just move on or make an offer. They're obviously in no rush to get rid of it and there's a chance they may sooner or later get their asking price, especially if it's a hard to find item.

What gets me is the guys selling items worth several thousand $, and then don't include shipping or charge double of actual shipping.......too funny.

Once in a while you get a guy that gets it. I picked up a used Leupold fixed 3 power (older scope) but it works great on a buddies 375, and only paid $100.00
Ya dont see that too often

seems to be the way it is even at the gun shows,i have always bought and sold around a camp fire must be the gun or the scope for the miss.

Same old story..cheap people whining about the price of merchandise thats not theirs..btw..if anyones want to emt me a $100 or $200..just because.. pm me..I will give you my address..because obviously it doesn't seem to mean much to you if thats all the asking price is below retail.
