Anyone have one of those Butler Creek or other brand of gizmo for speeding up loading high capacity 10/22 mags? Wondering if its a gimmick, or if it really works well. It gets to be a drag after about round no 15 filling those mags.
do they work with any mag, even the stock 10 round roto mag?
so they are good on my new to come promag 50 round drum and 32 banana clip?
my butler creek one will load both my 25 rounders and the stock 10 rounder no problem the only isue is sometimes you gotta fiddle the knob to make sure it feeds
I think the regular price for a BC speedloader is a little over $25.

(None so far in anywhere close to the GTA.)
They work really really well. A must have for the 10/22 volume shooter. I can't imagine loading high cap mags by hand anymore.
I just came back from Cabella's and WSS Winnipeg, neither has them in stock. They did have a nice shelf full of Steel Lips 25 round mags, and I picked one up. Wish they had them before I bought the hot lips. WSS has put one of the Butler Creek speed loaders on order for me, and hopefully I'll get it in a few weeks. They had in stock a Stoney Point 10/22 loader, but I'm reluctant to buy something that no one here has mentioned they used and liked. Maybe its good, maybe not.
