Maybe you should just close down if you can’t afford to pay reasonable wages for skilled labour…

This is not the first advert of yours offering poverty wages, honestly less than loblaws.

I won’t be shopping with you guys now that i know what you pay your staff.

Haha, they did say entry level and no prior experience required. You want them to pay $40 an hour for that? You shop at loblaws? lol

I live too far away but would certainly be interested if I lived in Barrie as I’m retired. Bonus that my daughter works damn near beside them and I hadn’t noticed they were there the last time I visited. I’ll certainly drop in and say hello next time I’m in town.

Our benefits package is valued at an additional $2/hr, the store is a hell of alot cleaner and more comfortable than a DQ, our generous staff discount helps buy more pews (although I can see the appeal of cheap ice cream lol), and our customers are all like-minded folks so the daily traffic to our store provides good conversation and great company.

Its an entry level job that is not at all demanding and there is room to grow and take on more responsibility (and more pay) for the motivated and responsible individual. Plus the wage is negotiable based on skills and experience like anything else.

Thanks for sharing your opinion anyways, I will give it some careful consideration.
Yeah, but do you have ice cream?
