Hey there I know similar questions have been asked before but I'd like to gather some opinions. I have just started to get into pistol shooting and own a Glock 17 gen 4. It has the factory barrel but at the moment it is getting TiN coating.
I only have access to an indoor range at the moment that does Not allow FMJ. I know that it's really not ideal to shoot lead through a glock factory barrel. I have been doing some searching and found a local shop that carries HiTek coated rounds. They are X-Metals 124gr HiTek round nose. X-metal says that they are ok to use in a factory glock barrel and I beleive the indoor range allows them.
So my questions are, do you think this will cause the same issues as full lead rounds in glocks?
Will it cause any damage to my glock?
If I can use them, is there any extra steps I should do for maintenance?
Would the TiN coating to the barrel make any difference?
I plan to use FMJ as soon as my situation changes.
Thanks
Jon
