I was set on a stainless steel version, until I shot one. I didn't like it. Good investment and pretty.

The market price, in my mind is what is available south of the border from one of the auction sites. Average cost in U$D + brokerage fees + shipping = market price. The example above is a sale to someone who just had to have it, and now.

Candocad.

It's gone. Incredible.
Holy crap...I did not expect that. They've gone up a crazy amount in a very short time. I would have been surprised to see an M13 at $3000 not that long ago. I wonder if the price will stay high or start to drop like Pythons' prices seem to be now.

Just a guess, but my prediction is that prices will come back to reality in short order. This happened with the S&W 952 a few years ago and there were far fewer 952's made. A couple 952 long slides sold sold for ridiculously high prices, lots were then listed, and none sold for close to asking but sat on gunbroker for years. That said, it all depends who's buying?

If these numbers are for whole production they are all pretty rare .

True but relative rareness doesn't always translate to high prices. I have a Colt model 3-5-7 (their high end gun from the 1950's). There were only something like 15,000 3-5-7's produced in total yet they sell for a fraction of Python pricing.

Yes, I bought a exc 4" for 350.oo, shoots super, they turned into Pythons, but have the standard dull finish
my one regret is not buying a box full of those surplus PSP 's that came in about 10-15 yrs ago for 700.oo,
Well another one is selling a bunch of Pythons years ago for 6-700.oo each

Yep! 400-500% return isn't too shabby over that time frame.

That was you, I forget, but it was a fine deal, I don't really want to sell it, it is my Sunday gun, bought a nice set of walnut for it
I have sold 4-5 PSP's and kick myself after, to much of the dealer in me.
Thanks again john.
I sold it to you too cheap:p
