thanks, appreciate it. my attempt to make a NR race gun out of a dmr (ie, not trying to make a g36 clone). spuhr magwell to get the mag catch where it is supposed to be, and to be able to run 10-round mags (with ranger plates so that i can grab them out of the pouch faster). hera top rail so that i can get at the bolt handle faster, and to get the rail as close to the bore axis as possible and reduce parallax at close range. cut the barrel at 18.6" to shed some weight, then put it back in with a comp for faster follow-up shots. tommybuilt flat trigger to get the trigger group as good as it's going to get. hera pistol grip adaptor to get the LOP as short as possible, and put some weight at the back to balance it out a bit (it'll always be a heavy gun, but i'd rather the heavy be further back).
running a kahles rd in the scout position (my pc9 and m305 are also set up as scouts) and the back rail is waiting for a 5x magnifier (a chinesium one; i don't think magnifiers need to be quality glass for running and gunning). had to search to find a low flip-away mount, but sun optics make one that does the job (have one on my pc9 as well, as it also has low mount optics on it). no problems mounting the magnifier 12" from the red dot; works just fine.
