I just received my HK USC from Wolverine Supplies. I have not had a chance to shoot it yet, but I was very impressed with the aesthetics and ergonomics of the gun, right out of the box. The gun is smaller than I expected, as most pictures don't give much size perspective. It is actually a fairly compact rifle, and is light and manageable. The pistol grip is quite fat, and is a little larger than I expected. Too bad the skeletonized butt gets in the way of forming an absolutely perfect grip. I was glad to see that the safety does not impede the grip at all, which actually is a problem with the SL8 in my opinion (when the safety is switched to fire on an SL8, the bottom of the lever always seemed to poke right into the top of my trigger hand). Fit and finish seem to be excellent; the gun has a solid and tight feel overall, which I guess one would expect from an HK. The colour is a much darker grey than I was expecting. It always looks so light coloured in pictures, but mine is a dark grey with a slight olive tinge to it. In any case, I think the gun looks very cool. I didn't realize so few of these had been produced. Mine is a 2005 production, and the serial number is only in the 6000's. I am looking forward to getting this one out to the range. In the meantime here is a pic:
