HK USC to UMP conversion

talk to a member named Boobytrapped. he is trying to trade his 9mm UMP parts for 45acp parts. I was going to do a 9mm conversion, but I figured I could buy about 2000 rounds of 45 before I started saving any money shooting 9mm. Get a JR carbine in 9mm. Awesome gun. Dress her up to look like an MR223 or MR308.

I think he had 8 mags to go with it as well. BUT those would be probably the only 8 9mm mags you would ever come accross.

No idea of the price, but I would guess it would be similar to the cost of the SL8 conversion. So about $500.

The other day I had imagined what an ACR stock would look like.

Maybe time to get myself an ACR stock, and get a gen-III F22 Raptor stock block made for the full USC-UMP conversion?

here is the one I did awhile back (HDPS stock block) and all authentic UMP parts, incl barrel. About as close to the real thing as possible. Had about $4000 into this one.

Went with the semi auto FBI lower to avoid hastles at the LE infested range where I go....lol

That is top notch man. That's what I really want but I am not sure it even possible to assemble all those goodies at this point. I guess the HK forum is maybe the spot to start and see if I can get IRG to bring it all in for me. I noticed a lot of good stuff on that site for sale.

having someone import the parts is likely your best bet, can also contact Ian at Herron arms as he has done the conversions and may have some parts or know where to get them

Ian is the most capable gun smith I know when it come to modern tactical rifles. He did a top notch job on my fs2000 and is about to do a barrel on my PS 90. The conversion on his website is the reason I bought my usc to begin with. Just very coincidental how this is all going. I will probably just end up having him do it.

There's an HK original .40 Cal barrel, bolt and Mags on EE now... probably the most difficult parts to source for a conversion.

it all depends on how detailed you want to go. A parts kit from HKparts... a lower, mags, barrel and rear stock. Top and side rails I got from Dlask. You'd have to mill the cooling slots into the upper or have a decent smith do it. A stock block usually suffices for most as it only adds about 0.5cm or an outright rear receiver conversion if your going for detail. The rear diopter is larger on a UMP sight as well. If you want that level of detail might as well add the folding stock notch near the ejection port. Lots of fun if you have the time and money. Finished my a couple of years back and it goes to the range every time I do
