HK416 (ish) project... a love story ;-)

Get one guys. HK. You only live once.

Once you get on the hk system just stay with it collect uppers and build your spare parts over time.

I sincerely hope that you guys with the 10.4" HK Parts.net barrels on your MR223s have enjoyed better accuracy than I did. The fit/finish and overall appearance were excellent, however practical accuracy was in the toilet with 4" to 6", 5-round groups at 40 yards, benched with a 4-power optic and a variety of good quality commercial ammo. Not even "minute of pie-plate" at 100 yards! I was so disappointed in the conversion barrel that I sold it with full disclosure at a significant loss on the EE. I could not rationalize having a $4k carbine that looked bad-ass but couldn't hit a barn wall from spitting distance. Maybe these new complete uppers have decent barrels, but it is definitely "caveat emptor" when dealing with aftermarket barrels other than the well-respected name brands. Of course, YMMV....

Yeah that's horrible that you got a crap barrel. Mine are HK but I had hurd that those after market barrels were fine. If you want parts give me pm purhaps I can help.

Hey troops,I thought that I should "chime in" I posted that link to an "after market barrel" for a HK 416 "clone"

That said, I assembled and fired my upper, & I was using a real 416 barrel (Hvy profile), I had several groups under 2 MOA @ 100m, I had one 5rd group with 3 rds touching, but that is a bit of an anomaly.

I started with a Titan "clone" and while it was " good bang for the buck" I wanted an all German" gun. I'm not "####ting" on the after market barrels just giving you a "heads up" Cheers
