Hodgdon Powder Canada

Is this a solid source of powder? I've been scouring the websites looking for some shotgun powder and this came up......I've not heard of them before......The replys to my email are unprofessional so far.....got me wondering....Anyone else use them?

I haven't heard of a Canadian branch for Hodgdon Powder.
Perhaps give the US number a call and ask them.
I have purchased their powders through Cabelas, Higginson and Hummason, among other dealers, here in Ontario.

I’m pretty sure Higginson powder is the importer for Hodgdon products. Id check with them if you’re having a hard time finding specific powders.

Lawry’s Shooting Sports in Caledonia On carries all the Hodgson powders bit shipping might be a bit. Great people to deal with. I have dealt with them for decades , they supply all the dealers and sell to private individuals as well. Great prices .

I believe Higginson Powders is the main Canadian distributor for Hodgdon .

Universal powder is the Hodgdon equivalent to Unique. Haven't seen any Unique for a couple of years at least, now. As mentioned, check the Higginson site, for availability.

Powder can be found in multiple places as mentioned above. Problem is if your stuck on finding one or two powders and they are currently hard to find or not available your out of luck. Find another powder that is similar. Lately a lot of people have run out of their favourite powder and had to change. We are coming out of a component shortage and not back to 100% supply.
Unique I have a supply of which should hold me for over a year which hopefully by then its back on the shelf again.
Check the manuals for something similar to what you use and start hunting shops, gunshows and local GP. Never know what will turn up.

Hodgdon doesn't manufacture any powder, sorry. They just distribute it and put their sticker on the bottle.

They own IMR as well as a couple of smaller manufacturetes i tjink , but in reality I am not sure if they are " hands on" as far as running the factories go.

so, lets see, Hodgdon owns a manufacturing facility for powder in Kansas and packages and sell their product under the Hodgdon name

Yes, but he has almost nothing for shotgun powder...talked with them yesterday.
