Hello CGN,

I'm looking for a source for a Webley holster. Preference for a flap holster to offer some protection for it. Gun is a MK1 with 4 inch barrel.

Anyone have leads? I would not be opposed to having someone do up something custom.

Thanks.

When I had a MkI I found that an old leather holster which I had purchased from Beeman's many years ago for a Webley Premier air pistol was a virtually perfect fit. I needed to trim a tiny amount of leather around the trigger guard; once that was done that thing fit like it had grown around the gun. Beautiful leather, nice substantial flap that closed with a heavy-duty snap, held the gun completely snug and secure. I've never seen these particular holsters being sold since I got mine back in the 70's, but I assume that any holster you can find that fits the Webley air pistols would work as well.

ya I don't anymore but ebay has some listed. mountain state supply in the usa had some to but not sure about now. try ebay.com is my best advise type in webley holster. repos run around $35 and originals can run $200 . hard to find the short 4 inch ones.
you could buy a Repo 6 inch MKVI holster and cut its snout shorter.

If you want a real cool modern fast draw holster like I use for my 4 inch webley buy a Bianchi SHADOW #8 38/357 S&W holster.
I bought a ton of different holsters on ebay till I found the ones that the webley MKI likes.
The Bianchis are the best beats the old flap holsters.
I can just picture some guy trying to open his flap holster in the split second you might get in a bush encounter.
only thing good about flap holsters is they keep the gun dry.

The Bianchi SHADOW I have is a RH cross draw fast draw holster that keeps the gun nice and hi on your hip.
Check ebay.com for thos as well.

Thanks guys. It does seem to be harder to find one for a 4 inch barrel. In fact prior to this post I found none.

Cheers.

Uncle Mike's Sidekick Holster (Size 2) is a good fit and the price is right. Easy to find and mine was under $20 at WSS a few years ago. It doesn't have a flap but it has a decent strap and holds the revolver snug and secure. I like it better than anything else I have tried.

If you want a traditional leather flap holster you can get them sometimes on ebay. search "webley holster". There are some from India that are made for 4" Webley MK1.

Thanks. Looks like I have some options.
I'll probably be in touch in the next little bit for some more bullets.
Cheers.

I have a Bianchi holster on the way. I feel a bit like a dinosaur because this was my first Ebay purchase!

I just bought a Bianchi Shadow #8 38/357 and it doesnt fit my 4 inch Webley Mk1....it might fit a 3 inch barrel but I would have to cut a hole in the end of the holster for it to fit mine.....disappointed ...again

well I didn't just make that up about the Bianchi shadow holster fitting :)

heres a few pictures of mine with a 4 inch upgraded MKI** which has a bigger Dia cylinder than a regular MKI and it still fits perfect. maby Bianchi makes more than one #8 shadow model,
ive found other Bianchis that fit to but like this one the best..

click on link , then click on pics to enlarge.

They must make more than one Shadow #8 model..... it does say .38/.357.... looks like it would fit perfect (except the barrel is too long)
no worries.... I will add it to the "holster collection" and go to plan C

I did end up buying one of those #8 holsters. It's a bit tight but it does fit. I had to put the Webley in it and leave it in there for a couple weeks to make it stretch a little.
It's a bit tough to push the gun into it but it does work.
