Home bluing method

I use Mark Lee Express bluing using the boiling andcarding method. I bought the bluing from Brownells and it works great.
Here area couple of barrels I did one evening last week.

Would this process work with modern rifles and handguns? What is the wait time between coats?

I cant see why it wouldn't work. It may not work well on a high chrome moly stainless, but most barrels and parts are not this.

Wait time after carding is immediately. Though letting it sit for 20-30 minutes between coats won't hurt neither.
