I've done it, and here are the pics of how I built it. Pics are dark, dull day no sun made my garage dark. But you should get the idea.
This is the sheet brass, and square tube brass.
Using the wide sheet brass, I made a square using the mag as a guide for the size. The brass was bent in a vice. Notice the cut out for the lug. Also, the two met ends were reenforced with half a square tube.
Notice it is also nice a tight against the mag.
Next was to make the clip guide, which uses the smaller width sheet, and two small square tubing lengths that match the wide of the metal in the clip. I used the clip and soldered the square tube in place to get the spacing right.
Next was to add the lip onto the square tube to hold the clip in line. Thus a "C" assembly on each side to hold the clip straight.
This was then soldered onto the back of the box with a clip in place to make sure the spacing was correct.
This is then cut off and trimmed down. Of course, has to be tested. WORKS!!!
Little tight, but that can be filed down.
Next the sides of the box are cut down so fingers can get to the top of the mag.
This has to be tested. SMOOOOTTHHHHH!! One would think I knew what I was doing.
Lastly edges filed round and cleaned. Then painted and set aside to dry.
Took about 2 hours, with a few mistakes along the way.
Hey, NEA, how about one of these, eh?
