What you need are:-

Pump bottle.

Isopropyl alcohol 99% (not 70%)

Tube of Lee case lube.

Squirt 1" of lube into the bottle, add 4 - 6oz of Iso., shake well and spray cases. I use an old cookie sheet to lay out the case and roll them around. I tend to size the batch while the are wet.

YMMV.

I use it 1:10 mix, works great. Costco has a great price on the 99% isopropyl alcohol. I haven't noticed a smell.

X2 on Costco. I think it was $9.99 for 4 x 500ml bottles.

You might need to see a doctor if you can't smell the alcohol

If you already have liquid case lube, you don't even have to mix up a spray. Put a small amount in a large Ziploc-type bag and shake your brass around in it to distribute the lube. The advantage of this is that you don't have to wait for the solvent to evapourate.

Make sure you get the 99% iso alcohol - most rubbing alcohol you find in the stores is 60-70% alcohol with balance being water. Water in your lube is not an ideal situation.

I mix 10-1 alcohol to lanolin, and spray it on very lightly.

Stand the cases in a row or double row, spray from 6" to the side and 6" above the cases so that you get a bit of spray inside the mouth. Give the alcohol a minute to evaporate and go for it.

As I was looking and not finding any at the shops , I looked online, well, it's either out of stock or $35.00 can to get one to your door.

They are alcohol based with some type of wax lubricant, so somebody must have a recipe for success.

If you can't find any lanolin,I can get you some and ship it to ya.
It's about $11 a bottle.

Lol,I guess it was always used for what I said,but the pharmacist told me that's the reason they're not stocking it anymore.

Been using this for well over a year, no stuck cases yet.

I use the same lanolin and 99% alcohol ratio. Works great, lasts a long time and fair bit cheaper than gun store bought case lube. But can be a chore to find the lanolin at a decent price.

I think between Walmart and Shoppers I should be good to go but I appreciate the offer to help.

For the alcohol try industrial supply stores. 99% iso is a pretty common solvent/cleaner.

Not being able to find lanolin locally but having lots of farms in the area, I just take my brass and rub it on the local sheep.

now that's funny!- I use to raise sheep. Never thought of that.

99% is pretty common in Canadian drug stores. I agree it is a great solvent/cleaner.

I tried to find it cheaper in the US one time at a drug store, they don't sell 99%. I think the highest they had was ~90%.

My local grocery store carries it and they even put it on sale from time to time. I'll have to look around for the lanolin.

I tried methyl hydrate and lanolin today. Worked great.

I have a can of Fluid Film. I sprayed a light coat on a RCBS lub pad I've had for years but never used. Rolled five-six cases at a time on the pad then a little wipe of Fluid Film with my finger on the case neck. Worked great.

I'm not able to find a local source of liquid lanolin. Amazon seems a bit expensive.
Has anyone tried using castor oil and 99% isopropyl alcohol?

Just use Pam cooking spray if your desperate . Used to be a commercial reloader in Edmonton used it .
