Hornady 6.5 .268 CARCANO bullets discontinued

I have a bag of PPU .268 and unfortunately they have an exposed lead base.

I sound like a broken record but Jet Bullets sells cast .268 bullets. I have had very accurate results from these.
Prices with shipping are reasonable and much less then the Hornadys, also easier on your rifle. Add 16gr of Alliant 2400 and you are good to go.

Powder coating a spitzer .264 won’t give best results. Really need the long round nose bullets in a Carcano.

Jet Bullets sells .268 cast bullets. They worked amazing for me.

Not sure but Terry at JET is quick to respond. I bought the LEE Mould for the very long 6.5s - I think people call them the cruise missile, but it was defective. Have to try and get another one now.

don't think you can buy that cruise missile new anymore. looking at an rcbs mold to see if a small bullet will shot better.

Midsouth shooters has it as a special order. But the one they sent me was crap. I am going to try and see if they will honor a refund or send a new one.

We need someone to try loading FMJ backwards, like they did in WW1 to see what the range limitations may be.
Might make a hell of a short range hunting round.
And yes, I think outside the box.

I recommend we ask dealers to stock the PRVI .268 bullets. Tradex had some but is sold out. Our Serbian friends make them in 139gr FMJBT and 128gr RN.
