Hornady Brass?

Thanks to everyone's response! Like our neighbours south of 49th, most (90%) reviews/experiences are positive with the Hornady brass. Who manufactures it seems to be a mystery. However, after searching for businesses who has the 300 H&H brass only Trade Ex had some in stock.........it's in the mail. My son and I do reload/shoot Norma, Lapua and Nosler, however Norma and Nosler prices are outrages these days. Once I give this brass a workout I'll come back to this thread and let you know about my experience with it.
"NO" Ron AKA, he is saying the bags of new brass Winchester sells have many poorly formed and defective cases in the bags.
Just like I said in a earlier posting about my new Winchester cases and the company share holders are controlling quality.
Probably the loaded ammo is older stuff if it has decent brass. I got some of that new "power max bonded" stuff in 270 and it was atrocious. Cases with dents, cases were all random lengths, and bullets were seated to random lengths. Very ####ty QC.

My only complaint with Hornady brass is that it seems they are now crimping primer pockets in their loaded ammo. I know this is common in military ammo & I wonder why Hornady chooses to do this for the commercial product.
I have some Hornady 308 match ammo I bought from another CGN'er, and I noticed there is two different text and wordings on the headstamps. One says Hornady 308 Match and the other says Hornady 308 Winchester Match and the font is different.
I just thought that was a little unusual. I wonder if that indicates different manufacturers, or if they have more than one line producing it?
The primers are crimped as well.

I have had Hornady make brass for me, to my specs. This was 15 years ago.
At that time they bought the brass blanks from Winchester. The blanks are stamped from a sheet of brass and look like brass nickles.
Hornady they took the blanks and made brass cases with their own machines. My spec included my own headstamp ( the bunt die cost me $200) and primers of my choice. Federal Match, although once had to use Winchester when we could not find 40,000 Federal 210Ms.

I have thousands of rounds of virgin primed cases of various makes on hand, so don't reload 308 much. The exception if for my son's target rifle, and that brass is Lapua. After 6 loads it needs neck annealing.
More likely we will toss it and buy 600 more Lapua cases.
Lots of other reload the Gold Cross/Hornady brass. I have not had any feedback.

That is surprising maybe they are outsourcing some ammo

Best brass I have used so far is LC which I get from my US address. Cheaper than Lapua and just as good .
