Shot some 45-70 Horn 250 gr GMX er's into some wood last night - they penetrated very well and expanded very Nicely too ! The Horn 325 FTX blew apart and did not penetrate as far ! Not Scientific BUT does show how tuff the GMX are ! JMO RJ

I dug out a few bullets for comparison here. These are three .308 GMX bullets fired from a 30-06. From left to right:

250 yards on an axis deer, impact 2450fps, .568 diameter

300 yards on a zebra, impact velocity 2300fps, .582 diameter

530 yards in test medium, impact velocity 1900fps, .510 diameter

Here's a picture of a .308 Swift A Frame just for comparison.

I used a 90 grain 257 caliber Gmx bullet from a 257 wby mag to take my spring bear, at 115 yards. the bear dropped on the spot and I never found the bullet, It did a complete pass through. Im very happy with how it worked
