Hornady One Shot case lube

Lanolin/alcohol may be cheaper but I wouldn't agree it's better. Nothing beats Imperial sizing wax IMO but I would never get anything done using that exclusively.

I only use it for case forming, tumbler gets it off but you could also just wipe the majority off. It's easy to use and won't contaminate as I far I know.

Lanolin/Alcohol is WAY cheaper, adds more lubrication with less product, less stuck cases and is less toxic than One Shot. I don't exactly know what is in One Shot but I take it outside and hold my breath when I spray it on. lanolin just smells like cheap booze.

Minor downside to lanolin is that I usually want to remove it while One Shot I just leave on the pistol cases. It makes them look a bit grubby but doesn't effect performance.

Imperial is fantastic and I wouldn't be without it for some uses but it takes a long time to apply.

I tried a number of release agents. Some were OK and some were not.
I now use Imperial. Never once had a mishap.
Never looked back.
Yes it takes time. Loading does.
Luckily it's a hobby. I'm under no time restraints.
Your milage may .....

Someone mentioned Hornady one shot stinks…so true !! I load up a tray with 50 pieces of brass and give them a good spray in the FAR END of my basement and then retrieve them 10 minutes latter and run them through my Dillion 550. The loaded ammo goes into zip lock freezer bags along with a Kleenex tissue. Whatever minimal lube residue remains afterwards gets rubbed off into my jeans (I do my own laundry) before loading my magazine to do battle with the coyotes.
I don’t know what the smell is in One-shot, maybe the Dyna glide component or more likely the solvent carrier. All we know as far as the State of California states on all labels… absolutely everything and anything causes cancer, birth defects and brain damage causing and turning people into woke Democrat voting zombies.

Thanks for the long read. So apparently the formula has been changed, spurring issues with how well it works. It doesn't have French instructions and Steven Guilbeault, the crook, has banned it for import under new legislation. Man I hate that guy. He is just really creepy. He looks evil. Like a pedophile.
I just tried the Lymann Case Slick spray and wasn't able to size a single case without risking a stuck case.
I will be going back to my original process using a lube and pad then re-tumble and compressed air.
I must have gotten on older can of it pre formula change. It worked so neatly and reduced some prep time for me. It didn't build up in the dies and block the venting port as well. Sure wish I had stocked up. But eventually I would have ended up in this boat anyway.
Thanks for all your replies. Cheers

BTW Siwash doesn't have any. So if anyone knows how to get it I would really appreciate a can.
There are cross-border shipping companies. So you buy from a US online retailer, have it shipped to the shipper, who then ships it to you. Or, since you are, I think, near the border, you drive across to pick it up.

The one I use would not help you, but by way of example for your area: https://www.ship49.com/

The trick is to order enough that the per-can cost of shipping isn't too bad.

One Shot Case Lube has improved my loading process, wouldn't want to do without it. And I use the "new formula" as I started with it recently.

You can have the one can I have sitting on the shelf. It's the worst lube I have ever used on brass of any kind.
I would have said yes, but there's a probability that your can may be the newer formula stuff that they started making. I doubt you did anything that would prevent it from working. Cheers and thanks.

The stuff wasn't always expensive but it sure has gotten there it seems. I wasn't a fan of the lanolin mix but at this rate I won't have a choice. I'm not screwing around with backdoor methods or whatever. It isn't that good.

Not a fan of lanolin, or having to add another tumble/drying step to the process, but that may be my future. Never had a lick of trouble with one shot, even the big cases never gave a hint of stickiness. Only real complaint was the smell.

I heard it is getting difficult, if not impossible, to get in Canada. I'm glad I stocked up many years ago when it was cheap and available. I'm sure someone will chime in with a place that will hook you up, but as an alternative, although not nearly as "clean", a lanolin/isopropyl mix works well.
I have never felt the need to switch since I started making my own lanolin/isopropyl mix case lube, however I have been having difficulty recently finding 99% Isopropyl alcohol locally for whatever reason.

Agree that the homemade lanolin/iso is a bit worse for clean up, I find that using my vibratory tumbler to try and clean it up after resizing actually made a worse mess to clean off the brass, enough of a pain that I actually just bought an ultrasonic cleaner off Amazon(just have to wait for the postal strike to end before I'll ever see it.....).

I've seen pharmacies have it behind the counter. No special reason needed to get it, I'm guessing they just want to see who's buying it?
Yeah, I have seen it that sold that way before as well. Unfortunately, the tiny town I live in only had the 70% stuff at our only pharmacy last time I looked.
