Lanolin/alcohol may be cheaper but I wouldn't agree it's better. Nothing beats Imperial sizing wax IMO but I would never get anything done using that exclusively.
I love the stuff, down to my last can. Seems like any time i find it they won't ship since it's an aerosol.
Thanks for the long read. So apparently the formula has been changed, spurring issues with how well it works. It doesn't have French instructions and Steven Guilbeault, the crook, has banned it for import under new legislation. Man I hate that guy. He is just really creepy. He looks evil. Like a pedophile.
There are cross-border shipping companies. So you buy from a US online retailer, have it shipped to the shipper, who then ships it to you. Or, since you are, I think, near the border, you drive across to pick it up.BTW Siwash doesn't have any. So if anyone knows how to get it I would really appreciate a can.
I would have said yes, but there's a probability that your can may be the newer formula stuff that they started making. I doubt you did anything that would prevent it from working. Cheers and thanks. You can have the one can I have sitting on the shelf. It's the worst lube I have ever used on brass of any kind.
I tried cooking spray once. If you don't clean out the die right away, the residue turns into a sticky mess.Pam cooking spray seems to work just
as well
I have never felt the need to switch since I started making my own lanolin/isopropyl mix case lube, however I have been having difficulty recently finding 99% Isopropyl alcohol locally for whatever reason.I heard it is getting difficult, if not impossible, to get in Canada. I'm glad I stocked up many years ago when it was cheap and available. I'm sure someone will chime in with a place that will hook you up, but as an alternative, although not nearly as "clean", a lanolin/isopropyl mix works well.
I've seen pharmacies have it behind the counter. No special reason needed to get it, I'm guessing they just want to see who's buying it?.....however I have been having difficulty recently finding 99% Isopropyl alcohol locally for whatever reason.
Yeah, I have seen it that sold that way before as well. Unfortunately, the tiny town I live in only had the 70% stuff at our only pharmacy last time I looked.I've seen pharmacies have it behind the counter. No special reason needed to get it, I'm guessing they just want to see who's buying it?
