Hoslters

I'm a bit of a dinosaur, I still run Raven Phantoms, if I had to replace one today, it would be Solely Canadian. I use an Aries Ranger Light belt. The holster positively never moves, at all, on that belt - the belt may actually be bullet proof. At the time I bought my first rig, it was state of the art, and seemed very expensive - 10 years later, I can't even remember the cost, but I still appreciate the quality and consistency. Don't buy garbage, it will affect your shooting, slow your development and, in the long run cost you more in ammunition and frustration.

Anyone who cannot use a Serpa holster safely should not be loading live rounds into a firearm of any kind period.

Don't you mean; "Anyone who loads live rounds and uses a Serpa holster should not be holstering a gun"

Incidentally, yes I have had one, yes, as long as you're not in a particularly tense situation, or where you might need to unholster from a bad position (essentially anything other than standing) in a hurry, they're usable, but they're made of such absolute sh*t materials and so poorly designed, why bother - there are better holsters sold in plastic bags at the local gun store.

You gotta love it! The ghost of TDC lives. on in so many iterations.

I was out with my Model 10 plinking two days ago. Light WC loads. First time since the shoulder replacement. Felt good to get out. Will do some more next week. Weatherman says it is going to be nice,

Have a great week-end.

I've been as guilty of using a Serpa, even for IDPA up to 2 years ago. I loved the click when the gun engaged the lock. Been shooting 30 years so trigger finger discipline is there. I do know the shortcomings of the system and no longer own any Serpas. No reason for buying this brand since there are so many other better designs for similar to not much more in cost. I'm surprised that Blackhawk is still selling this model. Same for the Fobus garbage.

4" M10? Nice gun! I have a 3" M13 but I've gone away from revolvers now except as a teaching tool. Take care of the shoulder and see you this summer!
Enjoy the sun. I'll be at the range in an hour myself!
Cheers!

when the absolute elite shooting community, including but not limited to, the best of almost every special operations branches across the world, the highest level competition shooters, the highest level LEO instructors, and the facilities they all train at, all come to the same conclusion, that the holster is ####, that they ban it from their classes and from their facilities, you know, without a shadow of a doubt, that it is sh!t. You also know that anyone who continues to defend has zero idea what they are talking about and will use personal anecdotes to support their claim that the holster is fine, believing that their knowledge literally trumps tens of thousands of people, including those who have done investigations into them that required thousands of hours of research and data examination.
yeah, anyhow
and definitely not TDC, he knew his ####, if he liked Serpas I'd be surprised.

He walks among us constantly reminding us about the superiority and perfection of the Glock 1...err the Glock 2 err the Glock3 errr the Glock4 err the Glcok5. In fairness TDC would not defend the Serpa...even he had his limits. I miss the young man, perhaps he will return dressed in different clothing. The place is so quiet without his disbursement of his "####" as Slavex eloquently references. Oh well we do have KiDD X (Play the theme of any of Boris Karloff's movies).

Off to the range this afternoon.
