How about a SPRING 2010 event?-All sks gong match at poco range

Congrats to the winners and much thanks to:
  • Satain for running, officiating/scoring the match and donating prizes
  • to Lever Arms for donating the grand prize of 1 case ammo and to Hugo and Rottboy for obtaining the same, to Rottboy for the pictures as well,
  • to everyone who supported the shoot including members of CGN who read and follow this thread, and Randy and the other R.O.s at the POCO Range,
  • to all the fun guys/shooters/competitors and 1st Gong Shoot veterans, without whom the match wouldn't have happened.
  • to Emmab, whose gongs have withstood our marksmanship skills (or lack thereof:D) for the second time.

To sphincter and mp5k, sorry we missed you.

Still waiting for the official results to come in to me but here are the unofficial results;

I had a great time. Thanks to Satain for skipping his warm up time and doing all the scoring! And Satain again for the 3rd place prize! And a big thanks to Lever Arms for supplying an awesome 1st place prize! Like WOW !

I for one will be thanking Lever Arms in person when I buy another SKS and crate from them. Check there web site as they have a package deal on sale now. :D

It was nice talking with you all except for all the noise in the background! :eek: Perhaps next time we can do an after match coffee & donuts down at Tim Hortons or something?

aahhhh missed it again. i'll have to keep my eye open for round 3! i thought shooting form prone position was laying down? did you guys opt to just go from the bench?

I thought to revive the old thread to show the history of this event. But if you want to start a new one, I got no problem with that. You'll be running this one anyway LOL!!!:D

BTW, I saw Ken (owner of Lever Arms) at the neighborhood 7-11 a few months ago. Turns out we are almost neighbors. He said he will support the next shoot again. I don't want to be greedy but I was thinking maybe a RIFLE/AMMO combo for grand prize. It might take Hugo and Rottboy to convince him about this big budget prize, though.
 
K, I'll talk it over with Colin tonight @ dinner but we will need atleast 10 shooter's. Please PM me with either iron sight, scoped or both. So I can see if I can get some range time for us. If you would like to attend but don't have a rifle still feel free to PM me and I will let you use mine as long as you supply your own ammo. Also emmab, easyrider604 has your gong's safely in storage were they haven't seen the light of day since the last shoot.
