How africans hunt ? sorry ill stick to the Canadian way

All the footage is from the documentary "Africa Addio". Crazy doc about how Africa went to 5hit after the Europeans pulled out. Nice place to visit, but I wouldn't want to live there!

The bodies at the end were Arabs slaughtered by the Mai Mai in Zanzibar.

Not even, think about it, your great grandfather is out hunting moose to bring home to the family. He takes a shot, makes a bad one and hits it in the hind quarter, then he's gotta reload that old smokepole while the moose is running away. Now it's an all day hunt and the animal is wounded. Same dif.

I think those tribesmen got balls the size of coconuts going after cape buffalo with spears. Thats about as good as Gatehouse going after Grizz with one. Also, hippo's kill more humans in Africa more than any other animal.

I didn't like the elephants gettin er though, I think those big buggers are smarter than humans. I would have liked to see just one of them animals win.
 
They slaughter each other just like that. Beautiful continent, stone age mentality. Foreign aid forever.

As for the hunt, I'm sure once in a while one of the spear chuckers gets killed. But they have to eat too so I guess they risk it.
 
Look at any video from africa of a pride of lions attacking a wild Buffalo!
Lions Die get tramped into the ground and so does the Buffalo, goes on for hours!

No, anyone in the right mind would not enjoy watching this, I sure did not I would rather not watch it again and will not. I do not get any enjoyment of seeing any animal suffer.

Wonder what it would be like to witness an Mid-Evil war battle, I bet a little worse than that?
May not be any worse that watching a whaling ship harvest either? How did they harvest whales 100 years ago, I bet not to far off what you see there?

I am not defending this video, it would likely be better left un filmed..

The bottom line that I can see is that those people live or die by making a kill
anyway they can.
 
Shame they can't sit every idiot that spouts the old 'unsportsman-like use of rifles' garbage down in front of this video to watch the alternative.

We are very lucky we live in a part of the world prosperous enough that we can ensure quick humane kills by way of the equipment available to us. In the absence of such equipment, you gotta do what you gotta do to survive.

It's hard watching animals suffer like that because we're no longer used to seeing it, but in the end, we sit down around a table with meat on our plate just like those people half a world away.
 
If you watch the whole video "Africa Addio" you see them culling elephants, shooting looters, delimbing thieves, massacring plains game and hippos etc, etc..
 
Whaa Wha bo ho something dies and it's not pretty.... neither are the gut shots fat ass Internet braggers take on game, put that on video.

I for one would love to hunt hippo in a hunting party with nothing more than a spear.

Like I said, I can't imagine the anal pucker factor...I'm glad I have the ability to take game at a safer distance if I chose.
They probably like it (as you say) due to there being a sh!tpile of them guys together taking one animal. You think they would be as happy if there was only three or four guys? The outcome might be more in favor of Mr. Dumbo as he stomps one or two Mr Zulu into paste.

I agree with you there on your points. BUT... did you see how many times each animal was shanked? like... wouldn't the gutts have ruptured on all of those animals= nasty meat? :confused:

Well, there's a good chunk of Africa for ya.........I'm so glad we send money there to help out (wonder which machete I bought with my tax money/foreign aid????)
 
Don't forget,we are all descended from successful hunters.A pack of wolves taking down a moose ain't pretty either,but they gotta eat.Life ain't a Disney movie,and last I heard,Sobey's hasn't expanded into Africa.(yet,lol)
