How Are The Dominion Arms Grizzly Shotgun 12.5s

I've put close to a thousand rounds through mine (12.5 ghost ring) without a single failure. No ftf's no fte's, nothing. With all sorts of rounds/brands. It's a ton of fun to shoot and extremely reliable in my experience. It's a little work horse, surface scratches easy but who cares lol.

very well made just the finish is bad and the action is a little rough

hears two i built last week

BBB: What rail is that with the integrated ghost ring?

Also, I love my Grizzly 12.5. Mine was from the first batch that came in without the ghost rings.

That link makes me believe that they have chokes? I thought they were cylinder bore?

When the Dom Griz arrived in 2008 they had a screw in choke. I've used so many slugs my choke is useless now.

I cannot speak for the guns sold now in regards to the choke, just everything else is the same with it.

My original 12.5" was awesome - no problems at all. Excellent gun.

My 12.5" mag-fed is not quite as awesome - it's very finicky with ammo. With the right ammo, it functions 100%. With other ammo, it's a jam-o-matic. I'm actually thinking about selling it to someone who will appreciate it more than I do.

Personally, I much preferred the regular one over the mag-fed. If you're NOT looking at a mag-fed, I strongly recommend them. Cool guns.

Love mine! Took a deer this season from about 10 yards with the ghost rings, all 8 pellets in the kill zone! My main complaint is the feed ramp; it's a bit too long and contacts the shell in the mag tube sometimes.

I've gotten rid of the red dot but here's a few pics:

I love mine. I switched out the forend stock with a leaner one and used a spare m14 sling. The gun is doing 2" at 50 yards with 7/8 ounce Remington slugggers. So it's fairly accurate with this slug. The gun just disappears in my large pack with that short barrel.

That looks really neat!

I've got the same Grizzly and was wondering about the type of scope base and red dot (?) you installed on it. Was the rear ghost ring sight was able to stay on the receiver?

Beyond that, is the sling mount installed on it the one available from Canada Ammo? What about the sling and shell holders?

Notwithstanding the ease with which the finish comes off and a slight bit of wiggle in the barrel (just enough to leave me wondering about it's potential effect on slug accuracy) the gun cycles well and has seen some trips in the bush deer hunting and with a turkey choke for deer. It's one of the more versatile guns I've got. I really like the screw in choke tube, which is still useful even on such a short gun.
