CZ 858 Magazines.
When we first introduced the CZ 858 rifle to Canada we were very careful to explain that these rifles were “New production” we never claimed that they were “New rifles” . Over the years as Wolverine Supplies has grown (we now have 15 full time staff) different people have prepared advertising material and the emphasis on “New production” as compared with “New rifles” may have been lost, for that I apologise.
As has been correctly pointed out by previous posts on this thread some parts may be NOS (New Old Stock) this must include the receivers or if they were taken from existing rifles and remanufactured into rifles they could be considered prohibited converted autos, so be careful of making false statements here that could have far reaching repercussions on thousands of Canadian gun owners. All barrels on the 18.6 rifle are new, that is why they are not chrome lined, we could not have new barrels chrome lined and sell the rifle for the same price. All 16 inch barrels are chrome lined as they are surplus (NOS) original military barrels. All other parts could be a mixture of NOS, new manufacture or surplus parts that are still up to the required specs. Originally we advertised the CZ 858 rifle with a mag pouch then CZ ran out so we had guns without, now we are back to supplying them with pouches, we no longer list them as included, they can vary from excellent to rubbish, any pouch you get is a bonus.
Magazines: We have seen these in mint, unused condition and we have received a few that I considered scrap, they cost us the same, spare mags normally arrive in bulk thrown in a box, we put them on special for $25.50. Floor plates may be bent. If the floor plates are broken or the feed lips are cracked when you receive them we will replace them, we try and check them all but due to volume we are bound to have a few poor ones slip through, for that I apologise.
I am considering grading the spare magazines that we have, we could create a Grade I excellent used and a Grade II scruffy, we would have to charge a premium for the Grade I to cover the extra work. I am not keen to do this as it creates extra work and we have to create another SKU # and grade them. In any event we have no control other what condition the mags are that come with the rifles and it simply would not be practical to grade these and create double the SKU # for the rifles.
