The book is a small hard-cover that I have had since I was a teenager. Unfortunately it is small (9'x9') when open and the pictures run over both pages, so I am not sure how well it will come out if I try (it is also very stiff and old). If it does work, I am sure you will like it. The page in question shows:
1.An S.L.E.M (Saive's project gun in Britain during the war, fore-runner of the SAFN 49),
2. One of the early prototypes in .280/30 (prototype number 17 is exactly like this one, also called the CAMP carbine, one of two ordered by Canada after the 1950 Aberdeen trials). It can be seen in the CWM (new one).
3. The rifle I mentioned, looks like an X8E5, with the high rear sight, and what became the Israeli cocking handle.
The picture also shows the cartridges for comparrison, (and there is an error, they show anothe .280 instead of the 8mm for the SLEM.
