455/457/527/550 yes 557 and 600 no.
^^^ this for me as well
CZ did everyone a disservice with the 600, especially when their lawyers figured out the 'changeable barrels/calibers' might get someone hurt and they nixed the idea - only a gunsmith can do it now. That was the whole idea of the all in one type rifle which they pushed the 600 as.
I have 2 x 455 and a 527. Great rifles.
Yea I never even got close to buying a 600, trail is about the only one I’d consider… 557 was going to be my hunting rifle but it’s so dang heavy and I ended up with several m96/m98.. I was also frustrated with the lack of aftermarket parts for the 557.. my 527 is beautiful and I’d buy ever calibre option they come in if I could afford it![]()
If I was contemplating the Ruger Ranch Gen2 in 762x39 or the CZ Alpha 600 in 762x39, which would be the better choice? They both seem to have good reviews.
Same here - excellent guns, and good value for the money.CZ rifles are some of the best, I own a handful.

If I was buying a bolt action in 7.62x39, it would be a CZ...but a 527, not a 600. No first-hand experience with the 600 but all kinds with 527s. Punchy caliber in a bolt action, I'd only ever shot x39 out of an SKS. Never knew it actually had appreciable recoil!
That’s a great rifle as well, I hear good things. You’ll have to let us know how you like it.I ended up purchasing a RUGER Ranch 2, just got delivered today, haven’t even unpacked it yet. The CZ ones were very tempting but availability ended up winning me over.
please let us know what you think of the mag. It’s too bad they didn’t go with a more common typeI ended up purchasing a RUGER Ranch 2, just got delivered today, haven’t even unpacked it yet. The CZ ones were very tempting but availability ended up winning me over.
