My son picked up his ruger from the post office and when he applied for his long term ATT they asked him how he got it home. He said that he got a card in the mail saying there was a parcel at the post office. They told him that he needed an ATT to pick it up at the PO. They also told him that he would have a note on his file because of the violation. Go figure.
Just my thinking but does the transfer authorization not cover the transfer door to door.

Technically, if you "know" it's a restricted firearm you also need to take your trigger lock with you, unpack the package at the post office and put the trigger lock on it before taking it home.
It's BS, but there you are.
The more people keep digging into the issue of picking up a package at the post office that may contain a restricted firearm, the sooner the f**kin CFO will realize there may be a slight loophole in there system, then once again we will have even more restrictions put on us!!
and bob's yer uncle.
Ok
