How do you empty the cartridges from hinged floor plate magazine

Remove stock screws and separate stock from action. Place action in vice and remove barrel forcefully. Once this is done light a small fire under the action until the action expands and the rounds fall out. Voila, its just that easy.

Narrator - It's deer season. Four men leisurely drive down a grid road looking for the elusive 5x5. Word around the campfire is John's trail cam had captured the buck. John called dibs. But, Larry who suffers from buck-fever will do everything in his power to prevent John from taking the kill. It's also known that John had a fling with Larry's sister. Still to this day, he has never forgave John. Down the road lights appear in the distance.

"C.O.!!! DROP YOUR CLIPS!"

I hate detachable magazines and hunt exclusively with floorplate bottom metal and yes one does occasionally drop the odd round in the mud and snow, but it is much easier to clean one round or 3 than to have to clean an entire magazine filled with rounds and mud and snow. That is assuming the magazine is even still there when you get back to the truck and that assumes that you didn't leave the magazine on the kitchen table or loading table when you left at 05:00 in a half sleepy state. Did I mention I hate detachable magazines.......

Douglas, a DM to me is like my wallet, I have never lost my wallet, it is always in my front pocket, if it's out, I known it, I feel it, it just doesn't feel right, I feel naked with my wallet out of my frt pocket, so, I must say I love the DM's for it and all the other great reasons in the world to love a DM of which there are plenty.:d
